Workforce Development Services are provided through work2future (W2F), the regional Workforce Investment Board that is incorporated into the City of San Jose operations. Services for San Jose employers include the following: 

On-the-Job-Training (OJT) for New Hires
OJT reimburses employers up to 50% of the wage rate for new hires*, up to a total of $6,000. This helps mitigate any productivity loss that may occur during the training new employees.
*For on-the-job training of existing employees, W2F can provide assistance in applying for ETP funding, a federal program.

Certification Courses to Upskill Employees
Each year W2F provides training certification courses for employees of local companies. Past programs have included IT Security, Project Management (PMP), Intermediate Welding, CNC Machining, & Logistics Technician. Training is typically provided through our community college partners and specialized training schools. With sufficient lead time W2F can put together a custom training program to meet an employer's needs.
