Bruce Cameron is the Director of the System Architecture Lab at MIT and a co-founder of Technology Strategy Partners (TSP), a boutique consulting firm. His research interests at MIT include technology strategy, system architecture, and the management of product platforms. Dr. Cameron has directed research projects for BP, Sikorsky, Nokia, Caterpillar, NSTAR, AMGEN, Verizon, NASA, and ESA. Prior to MIT, Dr. Cameron worked as an engagement manager at a management consultancy and as a system engineer at MDA Space Systems, and has built hardware currently in orbit. Dr. Cameron received his undergraduate degree from the University of Toronto and graduate degrees from MIT.

Dr. Rhodes conducts research on innovative approaches and methods for architecting and design of complex systems and enterprises, including predictive indicators of performance, empirical studies of engineering systems thinking and practice, and designing for uncertain futures. Before joining MIT, she held senior management positions in systems engineering and enterprise practices at IBM Federal Systems, Lockheed Martin, and Lucent Technologies.

Among all the IHRD institutions, the college offers the maximum number of courses in engineering (four undergraduate, five postgraduate and research). [3] The college is known for its student festivals Excel and Technopreneur MEC.

Government Model Engineering College is a technical institute which is affiliated to the All India Council of Technical Education and is located in a 14-acre (57,000 m 2 ) campus near the city of Kochi at Thrikkakara, 12 km from the heart of the city. The college is located close to the technology and industrial campuses of InfoPark , Cochin Special Economic Zone and the KINFRA Export Promotional Industrial Park .

On 28 January 1987, the Government of Kerala established the Institute of Human Resources Development in Electronics (IHRDE) (now known as IHRD ) in Thiruvananthapuram for the purpose of establishing a central institution which would work for the development of technical education in the state. The governing body of the IHRDE was headed by the then education minister of Kerala, K. Chandrasekharan. The first institute established under the IHRDE was the Model Polytechnic in Vatakara in 1988.
