Wow! Your TBR for this 2018 challenge is ridiculous. Having read (and loved) many of these books myself, I can say that you are going to have an awesome reading year in 2018. The Harry Potter series, The Night Circus, the Outlander series, THUG… are all some of my favorite books! A few of these are on my TBR: 11/22/63, The Cruel Prince, The Language of Thorns, and All the Light We Cannot See. I will be looking forward to your thoughts 🙂

I hope you get to ‘All the Light We Cannot See’!! Phenomenal book about WWII told from perspectives you don’t usually see in historical fiction – that of children. I loved the book and also happened to find myself in St. Malo, France this summer, which is featured on the cover and is where much of the story takes place!

Ah that is so exciting! It’s high priority on my list; I think I’ll aim for all the older books first as they are the ones I’m most interested in.

Printed boldly on every container of laundry detergent packs are the words, "May be harmful if swallowed." This hasn't stopped millennials from devouring them for the sake of another ridiculously stupid trend.

The "Tide Pod Challenge," as it's called, is simple. Pop one in your mouth and bite down on the seal to release the brightly-colored liquid soap and powdered detergent.

Most spit it out because—shocker—they taste terrible. I know this without ever having tried one, the same way I know that my palate would't agree with, I don't know, dog shit.

Todd Haley’s six seasons as Pittsburgh’s offensive coordinator saw the Steelers become one of the NFL’s premier offenses, armed with dynamic players — Ben Roethlisberger, Antonio Brown and Le’Veon Bell -- that struck fear into even the most hardened of defenses.

So it was admittedly surprising when Pittsburgh declined to renew Haley’s contract last month after yet another prolific year and another AFC North championship. He admitted as much during a Wednesday news conference that marked his first meeting with the news media since the Browns.

“I hate this phrase, but it is what it is,” said Haley, who met with the news media for the first time since the Browns tabbed him for the same role in Cleveland. “I’m looking forward. This is a really exciting challenge, and I think it will be really great to be part of helping turn this great organization around with a rich, rich history.”

Ferrari Challenge is the widest ranging and most envied one-make series in the world. The series was established in 1993 and the events are FIA approved, thus ensuring very high safety standards and excellent organization. The championship was an immediate success: the formula for the event, which insists on participants being dealers or authorized race shops, ensures that cars are very closely matched, thus putting the focus on the drivers.

There are three series: Europe, which is the oldest, North America and Asia-Pacific. There are also three categories for each race: Trofeo Pirelli, Trofeo Pirelli Am and Coppa Shell, which includes further classes like the Gentlemen Cup, for drivers over 55, and the Ladies Cup for women (available in Europe and Asia).

The races are usually very close, which is the main appeal of this series, but drivers also get to enjoy driving on some of the most famous tracks in the world.

The first day of the 2018 Classic in the Country Challenge at Hiland High School on Saturday, Jan. 13 is in the books. With game schedules needing to be reshuffled due to some teams not being able to make the trip to Berlin due to the icy roads throughout Ohio, kudos to the event organizers, school officials, players, coaches and the many volunteers for stepping up and rising to the challenge. Despite Mother Nature’s plan to put a damper on things, there was nothing but food and fun with warm hospitality and fantastic high school girls basketball action inside the Perry Reese, Jr. Community Center.

The players came ready to play. The final four games of the day were decided by a total of 13 points. Victorious teams on the day were Thornville Sheridan, Shaker Heights Laurel, Toledo Notre Dame Academy, Mason, Solon and Regis Jesuit.

The Lady Knights put up a good fight, and their defense allowed them to be competitive throughout their matchup with a tough Sheridan squad. The Knights D held Sheridan to just 18 of 53 (34%) shooting from the field, but the Knights offense was held to a dismal 13 of 51 (25.5%). Sophomore Kendyl Mick paved the way for the Generals with 18 points and three blocks. West Holmes was led by Kaylor Perone with 11 points, four rebounds and two steals.
