“Adventures in time and space- told in future tense…” Dimension-X ran for 17 months for a total of 50 episodes. This collection includes 16 original network radio broadcasts.

Except for some isolated science fiction programs that ran on Suspense or Escape, Dimension-X was the only science fiction radio program of broad appeal to adults to air during radio’s “golden age”. Apparently the radio networks felt that this type of program could not maintain an audience. Dimension X was a very effective demonstration of what could be done with science fiction on the air. But, it came so late that nobody cared. Dimension X was first heard on NBC April 8, 1950, and ran until September 29, 1951. The only other science fiction broadcast to air was Mutual’s 2000 Plus – 1950 – 52. X-Minus One came along later, in 1955.

Outer Limit – 4-8-50, With Folded Hands – 4-15-50, The Barnhouse Effect – 4-22-50, No Contact – 4-29-50, Knock – 5-5-50, Almost Human – 5-13-50, The Lost Race – 5-20-50, To The Future – 5-27-50,Embassy – 6-3-50, The Green Hills of Earth – 6-10-50, There Will Come Soft Rain – 6-17-50, A Logic Name Joe – 7-1-50, Mars Is Heaven – 7-7-50, The Man in the Moon – 7-14-50, Potters of Firsk – 7-28-50, Beyond Infinity – 7-21-50.
