While obviously hyperbole, reading the world’s best books is a joy like few others. The seven bookshelves in my room literally fill nearly every inch of wall space–and almost all those shelves are two layers deep in books.

But be our personal library large or small, all of us have that treasured collection of books which we never tire of revisiting. For me, the one volume I love to curl up with on a cold winter’s night— after I have spent time in the Book of Books —is C.S. Lewis’ Chronicles of Narnia .

My daddy brought home a slipcased set of the 7 volumes when I was no more than six and began to read The Lion, the Witch, and the Wardrobe to me. I still remember sitting next to him, leaning against my bed and listening. Soon I was reading them on my own—over and over and over. I remember sitting against my door (I’m not sure why that particular location) with my brother and reading The Magician’s Nephew to him aloud.

Like new. Various pull out and pop up features. Smoke-free, pet-free home. Pick up in Beacon Hill or during the day in Kanata (Superstore area) or Mooney's Bay area.

From the seed of a silver apple came the wardrobe. Through the wardrobe came four children. To these children came a special magic. With that magic came seven unforgettable stories.

Chronicles of Narnia is a series of fantasy novels written by C.S. Lewis. The books have sold over a hundred million copies since they were first published, this along with being translated into dozens of languages.

First appearing on the shelves of bookstores in 1950, the Chronicles of Narnia series follows the exploits of a group of children who are accidentally drawn into the fantastical world of Narnia. Narnia is a realm of myth and magic where animals talk and darkness is rife.

Initially, four particular children are pulled into Narnia by the lion Aslan to help protect the land from an evil queen. Over time, their numbers wax and wane. As some of the kids grow into adulthood, their ability to accept, understand and enter the world of Narnia is diminished, at which point they proceed to lead normal lives in the normal world while other kids, still young and capable of imagination take their place.
